Gold Award

Impossible? No Way! Challenging? You bet!

Gold Award

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout 14 to 17 may earn. In a broad sense, it is the culmination of all the work a girl puts into "going for the gold" and is "what you really want to be remembered for" in Girl Scouting. The Gold Award takes time and planning. There are a number of prerequisites, a lot of planning, and it requires a final community service project with at least 65 hours of work. The Gold Award can also be lots of fun, a way to be creative and help others. And if you finish, you’ll be one of just six percent of Girl Scouts nationwide who reach this highest goal.
