Silver Award

The greater the challenge, the greater the reward.

Here is a chance to do something totally different from anything you have ever done before - something very important and powerful. You have a chance to make the world a better place while earning your Girl Scout Silver Award.

The Girl Scout Silver Award

Available to girls 11-14.

The Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout in grades 6-9 can earn. It's a great way to show your Girl Scout values and your community spirit as you work on a project that you believe in. Girl Scouts earn the Silver Award by organizing an event or service project that helps others in a significant way. The project, including planning and execution, should total at least 40 hours. The Girl Scout troop or group leader/advisor oversees the Silver Award project. The leader will retain the Silver Award Final Report form with the troop records. To receive council recognition the leader will then turn in the Silver Award tracking Form to the Program Manager in their regional service center when the pins are purchased.
