
The Kern County Region is served by the Bakersfield Service Center. The Bakersfield Service Center is co-located with the Joshua Tree Council offices at 1831 Brundage Lane in Bakersfield. The Director of Membership and Marketing, Dianne Campbell, and her staff serve the communities of:

Come and talk to the board members about your thoughts regarding Girl Scouts - Joshua Tree Council. Share ideas ask question regarding governance and management issues and comunicate concerns.
Realignment:
If you think this is an important process, you'll want to be sure that something similar is provided in the bylaws for the "new" council after the merger. Approving the bylaws will be one of the last steps of the merger and the entire membership will have a chance to participate.
Good Bye Shanika
Shanika Johnson - Membership Specialist at Joshua Tree Council has accepted a new position with the County of Kern. She will be leaving in late Dec.
We all wish her good luck in her new adventure.

Bakersfield, Delano, Wasco, and Taft Girl Scouts participated in their towns' Holiday Parades...
It was a great showing for Kern County Region.
First Place went to Bakersfield, and second place went to the Taft Girl Scouts.

Membership 2008 goal update
Each year the council sets membership goals for the number of girls that we are serving through a variety of different delivery methods.
Tracking of these goals come through each service unit.
Service Units met 50% of goal in Dec.2007
